PLEASE READ REGARDING PRICING

In light of the COVID epidemic and the financial uncertainty so many of us are facing, I have decided to list this as a "pay what you can" class, at least for the time being. Unfortunately, the website that hosts this class doesn't support that payment option. However, I think I have found a work-around, which is explained on the first page of the class, after you register. The full price for this workshop is going to eventually be listed at $150, but please pay what works for you. PLEASE ALSO UNDERSTAND THIS: My business has been intensely affected by this pandemic and I am the primary income earner in my family. Due to the limitations of this website, I needed to list the class as "free" in order to be able to offer a "pay what you can" option. But that does not mean the class was intended to be free. As much as I would love to make this free for people, I cannot afford to do so. I need to make a living, just like everyone else. Thank you for your understanding.

FAQ

  • Do I need to have any photography experience before taking this class?

    Nope! All levels are welcome!

  • Do I need a "real" camera?

You will get the most out of this class if you have a DSLR. If you only have a phone, you are still welcome to join the class but there will be lessons that don't apply to you.

  • Is this class appropriate for kids?

Teens and adults will probably get the most out of this class, just from an instructional perspective. We cover some technical information about camera settings that may be too advanced for some younger folks. That said, all ages are welcome! And you know your kids best-- your pre-teen may be perfectly ready for the information in this class.

  • Will you offer feedback about my work?

Yes! Each section has an attached assignment and a place for you to upload your work. I will be viewing all student photography and offering feedback.

  • Do you cover editing?

No, editing is NOT covered in this class.

  • Do you offer any other online photography classes?

Not yet but VERY soon! The next one up will most likely be an Intro to Food Photography class.

Clare Barboza is a New England based food photographer who runs a full-service photo studio in Southern Vermont and works with food brands from all over the country. Her background is in fine art, and her passion lies in telling stories, particularly stories about how food goes from the farm to the kitchen to the table. When she’s not working, you can often find her taking road trips, swimming, antiquing and hanging out with her husband and son.
